When the Unknown Thrums

The gateway to Lahai-Roi is now open! What burns beneath the frostlands is waiting for your return!

Leave Honami City and wait for the Shorekeeper's reply

Head to the rift in the Black Shores and enter Honami City

Shorekeeper: Rover, how are you feeling?

Shorekeeper: The spatial tunnel to Lahai-Roi has stabilized. You may depart whenever you're ready.

Shorekeeper: Meet me at the Shashou Cafe once you've made all necessary preparations.

Shorekeeper: I will be here, waiting.

Talk to Shorekeeper

Shorekeeper: Rover, you have come.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: Yes. Thanks to Namipon's efforts, the Black Shores has confirmed Lahai-Roi's relative coordinates to Honami City and stabilized a one-way tunnel.

Shorekeeper: You may set out whenever you wish.

Rover: What is it?

Shorekeeper: This? Chisa taught me how to make this beverage. I find it tastes better with more milk and sugar...

Shorekeeper: I just made a cup. Would you... like to try it?

Rover:

Shorekeeper: Hm, very well.

(The aroma is rich, but it doesn't taste like coffee at all.)

Rover: Were you worried about something just now?

Shorekeeper: About Lahai-Roi, the current Void Storm is lasting longer than usual.

Shorekeeper: This is an uncommon state, and for now, the Black Shores can glean little else from what lies beyond the rift.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: Unlike other regions on Solaris, Lahai-Roi has no Sentinel to guide its civilization. Once considered naught but a forsaken frostland, it remained hidden until the Spacetrek Collective, an international research organization, discovered it.

Shorekeeper: Yet the Threnodian has always lurked in the shadows of this frostland, causing Waveworn Phenomena such as the Void Storm.

Shorekeeper: Exposure to a Void Storm drains human frequencies until they vanish. I suspect that your own frequency loss is linked to this abnormal Storm cycle.

Shorekeeper: The Spacetrek Collective is at the forefront of frequency-stabilization research. Once there, you will undergo a full examination and receive treatment.

Rover: So the source of the problem and its solution can only be found there.

Shorekeeper: Yes. The way to Lahai-Roi is open. It's time for you to return.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: The paperwork for entry into Startorch Academy. Access to Lahai-Roi requires strict clearance, so the Black Shores arranged for you to enter as a "student."

Shorekeeper: This acceptance letter belonged to your past self. It's still valid and will grant you access. Please keep it safe.

Rover:

Rover: So this trip's theme is "Back to School," huh?

Shorekeeper: Once you enter Lahai-Roi, I won't be able to contact you, but I will be here as always, awaiting your return with new stories to share.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: Yes... Take care of yourself.

Chisa: My apologies. I'm late.

Shorekeeper: It's time to set out.

Follow Shorekeeper to the spatial tunnel

Namipon: Oh my, oh my, the day's finally here.

Namipon: The coordinates have all been calibrated. A smooth landing, guaranteed!

Shorekeeper: The tunnel is stable, but only wide enough for one person at a time.

Chisa: I see. Then please let me go first.

Chisa: Namipon, Shorekeeper... thank you. For looking after me during this time.

Namipon: Oh, don't get all serious! You can visit during your holidays.

Chisa: ...Alright. I promise I'll visit often.

Chisa: Well then, Rover, I'll see you at the Academy.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: The tunnel is stable. She'll arrive safely.

Rover:

Shorekeeper: You are fully prepared. I see.

Shorekeeper: Rover, safe journey.

Rover: Alright. Time to go.

Next Stop: Lahai-Roi

Shake off the pursuing Voidworm

???: Need a place to use the terrain against it.

Rover: What about over there?

???: Hah, easy! Leave it to me.

???: Perfect! Let's go!

???: Phew... Safe and sound!

Rover: Is that building over there...

???: Hm? Oh, that's Startorch Academy, where we're heading. Pretty amazing, huh?

Rover: It's... far beyond what I had imagined.

Lynae: Didn't get to introduce myself. I'm Lynae, by the way.

Lynae: I saw your acceptance letter, so... freshman? What's your name?

Rover:

Lynae: Oh okay, Rover... I got it.

Lynae: It's not totally safe yet. Let's keep moving while we talk.

Next Stop: Lahai-Roi
