Edelschnee

In the harsh frostlands, the carnivorous Edelschnee has developed a unique survival strategy.

At rest, it curls into a fluffy snowball. When it senses a wounded creature nearby, it gently unfurls, wrapping the being in its delicate tendrils to feed. While doing so, it cleans wounds and secretes a mild anesthetic, while its long fibers cover and protect the injury.

Creatures of the frostlands often seek Edelschnee for healing. Once the seed balls mature, they disperse through the environment. Its fluffy fibers are used for textiles and medicine, making Edelschnee an essential resource for the Roya.
